Free School Meals
Pupil Premium –
The Government has introduced a new payment called “Pupil Premium” which is allocated based on the number of students registered for Free School Meals and for Service children. See more information on this in a more detailed report by clicking on this link
FREE SCHOOL MEALS
For every child registered for free school meals this school would receive an extra £953 this year rising to £1300 next year. With this money we acquire additional learning materials that will help with the teaching and learning of all pupils at the school and employ additional staff. You need not take up the free meal every day if you didn't want to as long as you are registered and qualify the school still gets the additional funds.
Registering is confidential and easy, register on line at http://www.swindon.gov.uk/el/el-schoolscolleges/Pages/el-schoolscolleges-freeschoolmeals.aspx or download a form and complete or alternatively the school can supply you with a form. This will not affect any other benefits you may be entitled to.
Please register as soon as possible to make sure that your child does not miss out. To qualify you need to be in receipt of the following:
